What Do Jews’ Next Dor Volunteers Do?

Remember, you’re not doing this alone. Start your rewarding experience of lending a hand to help build your community and have fun with your friends, old and new.
Here’s just a partial list, but it will give you an idea of things our volunteers do.
Event Planning
- Plan an event
- Host an event at their home or workplace
- Make reservations for the group
- Manage a budget
- Maintain group calendar
Event Support
- Make challah for Shabbat events
- Help setup food or other things at events
- Clean up at events
- Shop for food and supplies for events
- Collect payment at events
- Provide music & speakers
- Liaison with other community groups
- Shop, store and manage group paper goods
Publicity
- Make phone calls
- Write event descriptions
- Write for our blog
- Maintain our website
- Take pictures
- Put the group newsletter together
- Create flyers
- Tell others about the group and it’s events
- Bring friends to events
- Publish event information to community websites
- Create Facebook events, evites, etc.
- Invite local Jewish friends to our Facebook group

Jews’ Next Dor is fully volunteer led, depending on volunteers for all aspects of operations. We love our current volunteers, and welcome new ones and fresh ideas. Come help us plan our summer and fall events. If you cannot make the meeting, we still want your participation. Send your feedback, event ideas, or if you’d like to become a Jews’ Next Dor volunteer to JewsNextDor@beth-david.org. The meeting will take place at a private home in Cupertino, RSVP for the address to the above e-mail.
