Congregation Kol Emeth in Palo Alto has a regular daily minyan. This Thursday, December 25th, minyan will includes some Hanukkah additions and foods.
It’s your chance to check out Thursday morning minyan! Minyan will
begin late this week – at 8 am instead of 6:45 – because it is a
Federal holiday. It’s not a Federal Holiday becauseof Chanukah, but it
certainly is Chanukah and we will have our Chanukah celebration. That
means: hallel (in addition to our usual davening), and breakfast
afterward with latkes and sufganiyot (in addition to the pickled
herring and hard boiled eggs)! In case donuts and pickled herring
doesn’t sound like a good combination to you, you are free to pick and
choose what you’d like. Bring your chanukiah, if you’d like, and we
can light up the morning. (Same number of candles as the night
before.)
Several Thursday morning “regulars” are out of town so your attendance
would be especially appreciated.
Bob and Bob (fine Jewish gifts and books) invites you to join them for their second annual Christmas Kumsitz. They are located at 4500 El Camino Real, Los Altos, California. Here’s their invitation:

Here’s a crude run down of Haukkah around the Bay this year, did I miss something? Share it with us in the comments. Come on, celebrate like the oil won’t run out.
The first candle is Sunday night, December 21.
If there aren’t enough choices in the community, and you’re having your own party, the Jewish Study Network (JSN) would love to come give a 5-minute power talk on Hanukkah for you and your guests.

Light It Up! brought Jewish young adults from around the Bay to the Koret Pavillion last night for a (not-yet) Hanukkah Party. We filled a few barrels with food for Feeding America (formerly Second Harvest Food Bank), DJ-Doff rocked the house, as we tore up the dance floor. Thanks to all of our bartenders who kept the drinks flowing. Thanks as well to all the organizations and volunteers who pitched in to help organize, setup and cleanup the event. We’d love to get your feedback, by either filling out this Word document (save it with your comments) and send it to JewsNextDor[at]gmail.com as an attachement or by submitting this PDF form online to us (just hit the send e-mail button).
