Minyan at Beth David

Posted by challahbackgirl on July 28, 2008

In an effort to continue offering support to the Pressman family, we have
arranged to convene minyanim twice a day at the synagogue through Shloshim,
the thirty day period of mourning that began with shiva.  This is also an
opportunity for anyone else in our community who is saying kaddish or
observing a Yartzeit to do so.

Minyanim at CBD through Monday, August 18 will be according to the following
schedule:

MORNING MINYAN:
Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM
Shabbat & Sunday: 9:30 AM (regular time)

EVENING MINYAN:
Sunday-Thursday: 7:30 PM
Friday: 6:30 PM (regular time)
There will be no minyanim on Saturday nights.

NOTE: There will be special times for minyanim on Tisha B’av (August 9-10), TBA.

In order to guarantee we have a minyan each time, if you are available to
commit to a particular date (or multiple dates), please contact me ASAP
(schonbrun@beth-david.org).  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come,
even if you have not responded in advance.

Following this shloshim period, we hope to institute a daily minyan in an
effort to both grow as beit tefilah (a house of prayer) and enable members
of the Pressman family & all others reciting kaddish to do so. More
information will follow in the weeks to come.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

B’todah,

Rabbi Aaron Schonbrun

UPDATE: No minyan Sunday evening, August 3.
