Remember last year when I told you about the Jewish Holiday of Tu B’Av? Well this year, Ahabat Torah is giving young adults the opportunity to celebrate it including dinner. On the congregation’s website they describe the holiday as “the Jewish Sadie Hawkins Day.” Event details are below or you can check out their Facebook event. Space is limited at their dinner so you’ll want to RSVP now to reserve your spot to ahabat.torah[at]gmail.com.

Historically the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av was set aside for matchmaking. Young Jewish couples from all backgrounds would mix and mingle in Jerusalem. Seating is very limited so call ASAP! Hosting is available on a first come first serve basis for anyone who does not wish to drive on Shabbat. Please let us know if you require hosting.
