Apple Honey Flan

Apple Honey Flan

In a pan brown a 1/3 cup of butter


6 Pippin (or Granny Smith) cut thin

saute until apples are are soft and brown

add one table spoon of lemon juice

add 1 ts vanilla

In a new pan Cook 2 cups of honey on medium low heat until brown and bubbling. Immediately add half cup of water. Mix in and pour into six 2 cup oven proof bowls.

Add enough Whole milk to measuring cup to equal three cups. Add three beaten eggs and mix with 1/3 cup of sugar.

split apples between custard cups and pour milk mixture evenly into each cup.

place in preheated oven (200 degrees) until a knife can be inserted but comes out clean. about 20 minutes.

When serving, run knife around outside of each bowl and put plate on top of bowl and flip the two together.
