Join Jews’ Next Dor and Congregation Beth David for a weekend of learning with Rabbi Judith Abrams. She’ll treat us to talks on Baseball in the Talmud, Women in the Talmud, Passing on Judaism to the Next Generation, and the Talmud’s Guide to Self-Esteem. Of course Jews’ Next Dor welcomes you to join their Kiddish Klub Saturday morning when the Schor gives the drash on Understanding Bo.

The Talmud’s Guide to Self Esteem – The sages have brilliant insights on how to develop and maintain appropriate, positive self-esteem which we’ll learn in this session.

Baseball and the Talmud – Of all the sports, baseball is the one most connected with Judaism. We’ll explore these connections and how halachah interacts with baseball. Fun!

Rabbi Judith Z. Abrams has published many books on rabbinic literature and liturgies for children.  She earned her Ph.D. in Rabbinic literature from the Baltimore Hebrew University, rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) and is the founder and director of Maqom: A School for Adult Talmud Study where anyone can learn, regardless of their background.
