The holiday begins at sundown on Thursday, May 28, 2009 through sunset on Saturday, May 30, 2009.

Thursday, May 28, 6:30 pm
Shavuot Dinner and Kugel Cook-off

Join us for the first ever Beth David Kugel Cook-off on Erev Shavuot! Enjoy a tasty Shavuot dinner (and kugels) at 6:30 pm, then stay for Tikkun Leil Shavuot – an evening of learning. Dinner reservations are required. Please RSVP by May 25th to hazak [at] compular [dot] com (your account will be billed). Cost for dinner: Adults (13 years & up): $18 / Children (5-12): $9. This program is sponsored by Hazak and is open to the entire Beth David Community.


Thursday, May 28, 9:00 pm
Tikkun Leil Shavuot: Torah in Daily Life

Service at 9:00 pm; study begins at 9:30 pm and continues until midnight. Join us as we relive the experience of receiving the Torah through study together.


Friday, May 29, 9:30 am & 6:30 pm
Shavuot Services – Day 1

Service at 9:30 am including Hallel;
Shabbat and Hag Maariv at 6:30 pm (This is a short service so please be on time).


Saturday(Shabbat),  May 30, 9:30 am
Shavuot Services – Day 2 with
1999 Adult B’not Mitzvah 10th Anniversary(during services)

Service at 9:30 am; includes Megillat/Book of Ruth and Yizkor.

Join us in celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the 1999 Congregation Beth David Adult B’not Mitzvah Class during services on Shavuot Day 2. Be sure to stay for the tasty luncheon afterward!
