Posted by challahbackgirl on September 21, 2010

T’Keya (The Kol Emeth Young Adults) invite you to join them for Dinner in Rabbi Booth’s sukkah this Thursday. Here’s what they have to say:

PLEASE LET US KNOW BY E-MAIL or FACEBOOK IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND.

Join T’keya for dinner, shmoozing and learning in Rabbi Booth’s
sukkah. This has been a very well attended event for the past two
years and promises to be an interesting (and tasty) evening.

Time: 7pm Thursday 23rd September
Location: Rabbi Booth’s Sukkah, 768 Paul Ave, Palo Alto
Bring: Kosher drink/salad/dessert to share (see details below)

Topic: Open to the Outside: The Lesson of Sukkot

Suburban American more and more lives in isolated homes in which we
rarely even know our neighbors.  Sukkot invites us into a different
mode that sees social capital in a more valued way.  We will study a
section of Talmud that challenges us to see our communities and our
engagement with them in a different way.

The Booths are providing the main course, please let us know whether
you are coming and bring a kosher drink/salad/dessert to share
(details of kashrut policy can be found here:http://www.kolemeth.org/
assets/files/KashrutBakingGuidelines.pdf
).
