9:30am -8:30pm
Congregation Beth David — 19700 Prospect Rd., Saratoga, CA

Spend Shabbat day with Jews’ Next Dor. We’ll be leading Congregation Beth David’s Shabbat morning worship service. It will be followed by lunch, and an afternoon packed with Shabbat programming including learning, games, and food. We’ll conclude our bash with a cozy Havdalah.

Advanced payment of $10/person is required for our catered evening meal, Seudah Shlishit. Please pay online before Wednesday, March 23rd.

Egalitarian worship service begins at 9:30am. Males are required to wear a kippah; Beth David has some you can borrow. Afterwards we’ll enjoy lunch with the congregation. We’ll top off our meal with “Laugh & Learn VII – Temporarily Out of Seder,” with Doug Brook.

At 3pm our Jews’ Next Dor exclusive programming begins with Jewish perspectives on relationships, board games, and Jewpardy. At 6pm we’ll fulfill the mitzvah of the 3rd Shabbat meal, Seudah Shlishit followed by Zmirot (singing) and conclude Shabbat with Havdallah.

Please come experience Shabbat as Jews’ Next Dor leads the worship services. We’d love for you to be one of the participants. The following honors in the worship service are still available, please contact if you’re interested in any of these:

Open Ark (2 people)
Carry Torah (2 people)
Aliyah (3 people)
Chant Torah (2 open readings)
Hagbah (Lifting the Torah, 1 person)
Geliah (Dressing the Torah, 2 people)
Prayer for Our country (English)

Anyone leading must wear a kippah and a tallit. You can bring your own or borrow from the shul. Your peers are here to help you if you’d like to brush up or learn something new. Join CBD and the Jews’ Next Dor Kiddish Klub any Saturday morning to get familiar with the service.

Our Shabbat Bash needs a few other volunteers including shoppers, bakers in advance and others to help with setup or clean up throughout the day. We look forward to you contacting to volunteer or for more information.
Organized by Aleeza A., Levi G., and Moshe Z.
