President’s Message – April 22, 2011 – Passover, Pizza and More!

Posted by sjwisch on April 22, 2011

Shalom, Chaverim! I hope everyone had wonderful seders earlier this week and are enjoying the feast of matzah for the next five days. I want to extend my whole – hearted thank you to the Rabbis Ohriner for opening up their home both nights to young adults for seder, and to Josh P. for opening up his home for 2nd night seder. These seders provided opportunities to our community for people to enjoy this feast with friends old and new.  “Thank you” does not even begin to describe the generosity and hospitality that were given to our community.

Passover is a time of rebirth, renewal and the beginning of spring – which symbolizes new life. Jews’ Next Dor is going through a time of rebirth as we are looking towards the future as to what the Jews’ Next Dor community will look like 3 months from now, 6 months from now and even further down the road.  Jews’ Next Dor is your community – so what do you want it to look like? As the Passover story says, each of us is responsible to tell the Passover story as if we personally came forth from Egypt. I am tasking with you the responsibility to step forward and continue to contribute to the Jews’ Next Dor community and shape it into what you want it to look like.  What is your vision?  Something to think about as we approach the weeks and month ahead.

Just because its Passover does not mean we have lost our flavor for events.  Please join us for these upcoming happenings:
