Posted by challahbackgirl on December 13, 2009

Saturday, January 16, 7pm, A Night of Illusion Theatre

The Bay Area’s longest-running magic show, “The Magique Bazaar”(Magique-Bazaar.com) is coming to Congregation Beth David–of course Jews’ Next Dor will be there. “A Night of Illusion Theatre” stars Michael Stroud as Majinga the Magician along with Magique Genii in a new show for 2010 for all ages that promises to inspire your wonder and imagination.  The award-winning cast includes the graceful dancer Jeanne Perry, as well as popular Bay Area world music group Fontain’s Muse (BeatMagic.org).

Watch in disbelief as beautiful birds appear from thin air, the forces of nature are altered as a person floats in the air; witness the Houdini shackle escape and magic from many lands-including a rare Chinese quick-change mask act. The original, unique and eclectic live music in the show adds an electrical element to the excitement of the magic.

Doors open at 6:30 and the show, which includes an intermission, is from 7-9 p.m at Congregation Beth David, 19700 Prospect Road, Saratoga, Ca. Open to the public.

Jews’ Next Dor is selling group tickets for Jewish Young Adults at a discounted $13 which includes a $.50 donation to Jews’ Next Dor. Please email JewsNextDor[at]beth-david.org for your ticket to this special engagement.

General tickets may be purchased online for $15 in advance at Brown Paper Tickets or $20 at the door.
