July 4th Kosher BBQ & Pool Party

Posted by egotesman on June 4, 2012

When: 11:30 am – 4 pm, July 4, 2012
Where: Private Home, RSVP for the Address, San Jose
Come join your fellow Jews’ Next Dor friends as we fire up the grill and head poolside to celebrate the 4th of July!

Our Kosher BBQ will feature a delicious meal prepared by a team of Jews’ Next Dor volunteers, including your choice of a hamburger, a chicken burger, or a veggie burger, plus all-you-can-eat hot dogs. We’ll also be serving up buffet style sides, drinks, and desserts, all for $10 per person. Help us out and head on over to https://www.wepay.com/events/july-4th-kosher-bbq-pool-party to RSVP and let us know your entree choice by June 28th, 2012.

In order to keep this event strictly kosher, we ask that you don’t bring any food at all. We’re sure you have an awesome recipe for this or that dish — we look forward to tasting it at the next Shabbat Potluck. For now, let us treat you!

To make this event a success, volunteers are needed. Some of the tasks include: shopping for food, preparing salads and other items, set up, passing around the attendance list, handing out meal tickets, grilling/cooking, and clean up. Those willing to help out, please send a quick email to JewsNextDor@beth-david.org and indicate which little task you would prefer to assist with. One of the event’s organizers will then contact you with further information.

As if all that great food and fellowship with other young adult noshers isn’t enough, be sure to bring swimsuits, flip flops, towels, sunscreen and other gear to frolic in our host’s pool!

To RSVP visit https://www.wepay.com/events/july-4th-kosher-bbq-pool-party; please contact JewsNextDor@beth-david.org with any questions.

(Legal disclaimer: please don’t punish our host’s generosity by suing us or them if you get in an accident using the pool. As with any other Jews’ Next Dor event, you participate with us at your own risk.)
