As the Jewish calendar begins anew (Passover marks the first month, Nissan, of the Jewish calendar) it’s time do a little review and preview. CBDYAG is working on it’s calendar for the coming year. In order to do this we need your help. We want to hear from you.
Have you been to a CBDYAG event? Did you enjoy it? How did you hear about CBDYAG or the events we do? What didn’t you like? Why have you not been to an event? What events would you like to see? Are you willing to help make it happen? How do you prefer to learn about events? When is the best time for you to attend an event? Tell us about yourself and what you’re looking for? Our heart is volunteers! Thanks to everyone who helped with an event, you truly have made all the difference. I know for many of us planning ahead is hard and we shy away from making commitments. But we’d love for new volunteers to join our crew. Volunteering is truly a painless thing. “It was certainly a good feeling to see so many people show up and enjoy the Saturday night. This makes me want to get more involved in setting up similar events in future,” said GB, a bit shocked, after planning a successful evening of ice skating. There’s support to get the publicity done, and when we all pitch in together, it just takes a little bit of effort and time from each of us. Some things past volunteers have done is calling a place to schedule a visit, shopping for munchies, cleaning up, opening our home, or just bringing a friend to an event. Love to write? Join our bloggers. Our community welcomes you. We’ll be having a meeting to look at the calendar soon, so stay tuned. In the mean time leave us a comment or send us a message at cbdyag [at] gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you at a future event!
Congregation Beth David’s Young Adult Group for Jewish 20 and 30 somethings enjoys monthly events planned by volunteers from our community. Events range from social, religious, social action, celebrating holidays and more. We’re based in the South Bay. Don’t miss out on all the fun being had.
