AIDS Walk SF 2007

Last year, Congregation Beth David’s (CBD) Young Adult Group had a blast participating in AIDS Walk SF. So, we’re doing it again this year! “It was a walk in the park,” said team member AC of the 10k (6.2 mile) course. We’d love for you to join us on Sunday, July 15th for this walk in Golden Gate Park that benefits the SF AIDS Foundation and other local HIV and AIDS service and research organizations.

CBDYAG StarWalkers 2006Team CBD, 30 people strong, last year helped to raise enough to rank us 5th amongst religious groups. (Go Team! Special thanks to fundraising efforts by our Star Walkers, alilyamongthorns and ChallahBackGirl) Please help us do it again this year! Visit www.aidswalk.net/sanfran and look for team Congregation Beth David-9980 to join our team or sponsor our walkers. Last years walk raised nearly 4.2 million dollars, a record breaking year from 25,000 walkers. It’s a full day of fun, including live entertainment along the walk, opening ceremonies and a concert following the walk. There’s no minimum donation required to be a walker, so come enjoy the outdoors with us.

Judaism teaches us the value of life and mandates us to do everything possible to save lives. The Mishna proclaims that one who saves a single life is like one who has saved the entire world. Put our tradition in action and participate in California’s largest AIDS fundraising event that benefits the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and other outstanding AIDS service organizations throughout the Bay Area.

If you are unable to walk with us, please sponsor someone on our team or make a general donation to the team. Donate online at www.aidswalk.net
